Christmas Day at home and over at Grammy & Papa's

Christmas Eve & Brenden's 2nd birthday!

We celebrated Christmas with all the Garrett's at our house on the 24th, as well as Brenden's 2nd birthday. Much of the fun centered around his new train table built by his Grandpa and custom fit with tracks and trains. He loves it and still wakes up everyday asking to play choo-choo. This table will last him for years to come, but his train that sings Jingle Bells over and over again, may not! It was great having everyone together for the day and we all fell into bed exhausted! So sleepy that none of us woke up in time to open gifts on Christmas morning before we headed over to Todd's parents house.

We introduced James and Katie to what is rapidly becoming our favorite coffee shop, the Village Bean! The kids had a great time and Katie and I got to relax and catch up with each other.

Here is a variety of Brenden pictures before the holidays actually began...he loves to admire the tree...and yay, he's learned how to take off his clothes now...the trouble is getting them back on him!

Brenden was in rare form tonight...I gave him a couple little plastic finger puppets of Santa and Rudolph that came from the Breakfast with Santa event this am...he decided they weren't just for fingers...

A Brenden/Claire comparison

Here is Brenden at 2 weeks wearing the same Christmas shirt we put on Claire today who is 9 weeks (2 months)...

Just for comparison purposes when Brenden was 2 months old he weighed 13 lbs 7 oz and was 23 inches tall as compared to Claire who is 11 lbs 5 oz and 23 1/4 inches tall. Last night for the first time Claire figured out how to get her arms out of her swaddle...and I'm reading in Brenden's baby book that he also figured this out right at 2 months.
